Armenian Football Cup 1995/96

The Armenian Football Cup 1996/97 was the sixth edition of the cup competition in Armenia .

24 teams were allowed to start. FA Ararat Yerevan won the trophy for the fourth time. Last year's winner FC Pyunik Yerevan was defeated 1-0 in the final. Ararat took part in the European Cup Winners' Cup.

mode

The cup was played in five rounds. The winners were determined in the first and second leg. In the event of a tie, the number of goals scored away decided first , followed by an extension. If no decision was reached after two 15 minutes, a penalty shoot-out followed until the winner was determined. The final was played in one game in Yerevan.

The first legs took place on October 1, 1996, the second legs on October 9 and 10, 1996. The following clubs had a bye: FC Pyunik Yerevan, FC Kotayk Abovjan, FC Van Yerevan, Cement Ararat, FC Karabach Yerevan, FA Ararat Yerevan, FC Shirak Gyumri, FC Yerevan.
