Arndt Steinbach

Arndt Steinbach (born July 27, 1968 in Tauberbischofsheim ) is a German local politician ( CDU ). He is the district administrator of the Saxon district of Meißen .

Life and politics

Steinbach completed vocational training for middle and senior administrative service. He is a graduate in administration . After 1990 he came from Baden-Württemberg to the Saxon city of Wilsdruff , where he still lives today. From 1992 to 2002 he held the office of mayor of Wilsdruff.

In November 2002 he was elected District Administrator of the Meißen district. Since August 1st, 2008 he has been the district administrator of the new and enlarged district of Meißen, which was formed as part of the Saxon district reform in 2008 from the merger of the district of Meißen with the district of Riesa-Großenhain . In this function, he was confirmed in the 2015 district elections with two opposing candidates with 60.2%.

On December 1, 2020, Steinbach was elected managing director of the municipal loss compensation scheme (KSA) for the federal states of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia, Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

He is married and has two children.
