Matthias Damm (born April 1954 in Mittweida ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and since August 2015 district administrator of the district of central Saxony .

Life

education and profession

Damm studied electrical engineering and electronics at the Technical University of Dresden from 1972 to 1976 and graduated with a degree in engineering . From 1976 to 1990 he worked at VEB Elfema Mittweida, where he last worked as a legal advisor. Political career

Damm is politically active in the CDU, of which he has been a member since 1994. From 1990 to 2001 he was a member of the Mittweida city council.
