Henry Graichen (* 28. August 1976 in Borna ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and since 2015 District Administrator of the district Leipzig .

Career

education

After graduating from high school in 1995 at the grammar school "Am Breiten Teich" in Borna, Henry Graichen did military service in the Bundeswehr in 1996. In 1999 he completed his studies at the University of Applied Sciences for Saxon Administration in Meißen with a degree in administration .

Local politics

From 2001 Graichen was mayor of the Neukieritzsch community , from 2004 member of the district assembly of the district of Leipziger Land , from 2008 of the district of Leipzig and there from 2014 parliamentary party chairman of the CDU. From 2005 Graichen was a member of the state board and presidium of the Saxon City and Municipal Council , from 2013 a member of the supervisory board of the Invest Region Leipzig .

On June 7, 2015, Henry Graichen was elected in the first ballot to succeed Gerhard Gey as district administrator of the Leipzig district - he has held the office since August 1, 2015.

Private

Henry Graichen is married and has one son. He lives in Neukieritzsch .
