Arp 187 is a radio galaxy in the constellation Eridanus . Since the galaxy has two rambling arms , it is believed that it is most likely the result of the merging of two galaxies. Halton Arp organized his catalog of unusual galaxies into groups according to purely morphological criteria. This galaxy belongs to the class of narrow filament galaxies .
