Arrondissement de Pikine Dagoudane

The Arrondissement de Pikine Dagoudane is one of the three arrondissements into which the Département Pikine is divided, which in turn is congruent with the urban area of Pikine , a metropolis of Senegal in the metropolitan region of Dakar . The arrondissement includes seven communes d'arrondissement .

The arrondissement is located in the central section of the Cap-Vert peninsula , where it narrows to an isthmus just under five kilometers wide and occupies the area between the marshy wetlands of the Niayes and the north coast of the Baie de Gorée . It includes the western boroughs of Pikine. The arrondissement has an area of ​​15.3 km².
