Keur Massar is the most populous and largest in area of ​​the 16 districts (Communes d'arrondissement du Sénégal) of Pikine , the largest city in Senegal even before the capital Dakar .

Keur Massar is located in the northeast of the bottle neck of Cap-Vert peninsula between the southern neighbor and the Autoroute 1 intersected Forêt classée de Mbao (FCM) and the northern adjacent Strandsee Lac Mbeubeuss (inclusive), the western part of the discharge layer de Mbeubeuss is known and serves as the central landfill of the Dakar metropolitan area. The residential areas of the city district extend in between.
