Arthur Gramberg (born January 26, 1862 in Possessern , Angerburg district ; † June 2, 1917 in Königsberg i. Pr. ) Was a German administrative lawyer in East Prussia .

Life

Arthur Gramberg attended high school in Insterburg . After high school he studied at the University of Königsberg law . He became active in the Corps Masovia in the summer semester of 1880 and distinguished himself as a sub- senior and senior . When the relationship agreement was signed with the Corps Guestphalia Berlin , he moved to the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin . He was reciprocated at Guestphalia , but abandoned the bond when Guestphalia broke the friendship relationship in 1882. After the first exam he was a trainee lawyer in Königsberg. In Bartenstein, Sensburg and Lyck , he initially worked in the administration of justice in Prussia . He went over to the internal administration and came to the district of Gumbinnen and the High Presidium of the Province of East Prussia . As a government councilor a. D. he moved from the Prussian civil service to the East Prussian Landgesellschaft , of which he became director general . In the First World War he served in the Landwehr . Seriously ill, he died at the age of 55. With great sympathy from his corps, he was buried on June 6, 1917 in Königsberg.

His son Werner Gramberg (1896–1985) became an art historian.
