Asbury is a small town (with the status " City ") in Dubuque County in eastern US -amerikanischen state of Iowa . In 2010 Asbury had 4,170 inhabitants.

Asbury is located at 42 ° 30'52 "north latitude and 90 ° 45'05" west longitude and extends over 6.88 km². The city is mainly located in the Dubuque Township , but extends to a small extent into the neighboring Center Township to the west .

Asbury is located in the western suburbs of Dubuque . The Mississippi , which forms the border with Illinois and Wisconsin , is nine kilometers to the east. Other neighboring towns are Peosta (14.4 km southwest), Durango (6.3 km north-northwest) and Sageville (7.2 km northeast).

The closest major cities are the Quad Cities (124 km south), Cedar Rapids (116 km southwest), and Waterloo (143 km west).
