Ash Avildsen

Ashley "Ash" Avildsen (born November 5, 1981 ) is an American music entrepreneur, event manager and film director .

Life

Ash Avildsen was born on November 5, 1981 to film director John G. Avildsen and Marie Olga Maturevich. He has three siblings: Jonathan, Anthony and Bridget. Avildsen only saw his father twice in his life. Thanks to his father's maintenance payments , Avildsen was able to attend a military school for five years , where he was class representative in his class. After graduating from military school, he went to Georgia Tech , where he only attended one year of classes. Avildsen dropped out of school because his maintenance claims ended when he turned 18 and he didn't want to build up debts.

Career

In 2006 Avildsen founded Sumerian Records , a US company that specializes in hardcore punk , metalcore , deathcore and progressive metal and made groups such as From First to Last , The Dillinger Escape Plan and DJ Borgore better known. In 2005 he was the singer of the American metalcore band Reflux with Tosin Abasi , who later founded Animals as Leaders , and in 2005 released their only album The Illusion of Democracy via Prosthetic Records .

Avildsen organized concerts in Washington, DC , Maryland and Virginia before founding Sumerian Records . In 2007 he created the Summer Slaughter Tour brand , an annual concert tour for bands from the extreme metal scene that already had branches in Mexico , Europe , Canada and Australia . He also founded the festival tours All Stars Tour and Thrash and Burn . He also founded a record store with friends in Los Angeles .

Ash Avildsen founded the concert agency The Pantheon Agency and Sumerian Films . He wrote the storyline of his 2015 film debut What Now? in 2013. Avildsen directed and starred. Ice-T , Bone Thugs-N-Harmony , wrestlers Jim Ross and Jake Roberts , and Guns-n'-Roses musician Steven Adler were also recruited as actors . His second film, American Satan , hit theaters in October 2017. Musicians Andy Biersack from the Black Veil Brides and Ben Bruce from Asking Alexandria were introduced as actors .
