Attila Imecs (born February 10, 1991 in Miercurea Ciuc ) is a Romanian ice hockey player who has been playing at the ASC Corona 2010 Brașov in the Romanian ice hockey league and the MOL league since 2009 .

Career

Club

Attila Imecs began his career in the youth department of Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák , for whom he played in the Hungarian U18 league. He then played for the Budapest Stars for two years in the Hungarian U18 league. He was also used once in the MOL League in the 2008/09 season . In 2009 he returned to Romania, where he has since been under contract with ASC Corona 2010 Brașov , which uses him in both the Romanian ice hockey league and the MOL league. With his club he won the Romanian Ice Hockey Cup in 2013 and 2015 and the championship in 2014 and 2017 .

International

Imecs already played in the junior division for Romania: In 2008 and 2009 he took part in Division II of the U18 World Championships. At the U20 World Championships in 2009 , 2010 and 2011 he also played in Division II.

Imecs made his debut in the men's national team at the 2009 Men's Ice Hockey World Championship in Division I. In 2012 and 2014 , he was also on the ice in Division I. After relegation in 2014, he played at the 2015 World Cup in Division II and achieved immediate promotion with his team. He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournament for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi 2014 .
