Augustine Kasujja (born April 26, 1946 in Mitala-Maria , Uganda ) is a Ugandan clergyman and diplomat of the Holy See .

Life

Pope Paul VI ordained Augustine Kasujja on January 6, 1973 as a priest of the Archdiocese of Kampala .

On May 26, 1998, Pope John Paul II appointed him titular archbishop pro hac vice of Caesarea in Numidia and apostolic nuncio in Algeria and Tunisia . The Archbishop of Kampala, Emmanuel Cardinal Wamala , gave him episcopal consecration on August 22nd of the same year; Co- consecrators were Carlo Maria Viganò , Apostolic Nuncio in Nigeria, and Paul Lokiru Kalanda , Bishop of Fort Portal .

On April 22nd, 2004 he was appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Madagascar , Mauritius and the Seychelles . On June 9, 2004, he was also appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Mauritius. Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on February 2, 2010 as Apostolic Nuncio in Nigeria . On October 12, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Apostolic Nuncio in Belgium . On December 7th of the same year he was also appointed Apostolic Nuncio in Luxembourg .
