The Augustinusviertel district is a district of the district town of Neuss . With an area of ​​1.17 km² and 5,127 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2015), the city district is one of the smaller in terms of area. It is named after the Neuss Augustinian nuns (sisters according to the rule of St. Augustine), who settled there in the mid-19th century and opened a hospital. The city district includes the residential area around the site of the Alexianer Clinic and the Meertal development area, which grew particularly in the 1990s and has around 1,500 residents. Another residential area in the quarter is planned on the former monastery grounds of the Alexian Brothers, which will include a total of 450 residential units for around 1000 new residents. Around 160 new residential units will also be built on the site of the former Leuchtenberg sauerkraut factory by 2018.

The Catholic monastery church Immaculata, which was built between 1931 and 1935, is located in the parish of the Quirinus Minster . The monastery is the headquarters of the Sisters of Mercy according to the Rule of St. Augustine , who support an old people's home and a hospice there.
