The motorway junction Marl-Nord (abbreviation: AK Marl-Nord ; short form: Kreuz Marl-Nord ) is a motorway junction in Marl ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region . It connects the federal highway 43 ( Münster - Wuppertal ) with the federal highway 52 ( Mönchengladbach - Marl) and the state road 612 .

geography

The motorway junction is located in the urban area of Marl in the Recklinghausen district , on the city limits to Haltern am See . The closest districts are Bergbossendorf and Hamm-Bossendorf, belonging to Haltern and Sickingmühle, which belongs to Marl. It is located about 30 kilometers northeast of Essen , about 30 kilometers northwest of Dortmund and about 45 kilometers southwest of Münster .

The Marl-Nord interchange has junction number 9 on the A 43 and number 50 on the A 52.

Design and state of development

Both motorways have four lanes, the L 612 has three lanes. All connecting ramps are single-track.

The motorway junction was laid out as a shamrock and opened in 1987 together with the last section of the A 52 between Dorsten -Ost and Marl-Nord.

There are no parallel lanes on the A 52, the ramps are directly connected to the main lanes.

Traffic volume

Around 80,000 vehicles drove on the cross every day in 2015.
