Aylam Orian

Aylam Orian (born September 4, 1968 in Cleveland , Ohio ) is an American actor of Israeli origin who played the role of Nazi officer Dr. Wilhelm Brücke gained greater prominence in the MGM production Stargate Origins .

Life

Aylam Orian is the son of Israeli parents of Polish, Russian and Romanian descent who moved back to Israel from the USA shortly after his birth, where Orian grew up. After 4.5 years of military service, he began studying at the Tel Aviv University Film School to become a director. A short film that he shot there, Siyut Birkhov Bialik (1994), a funny homage to the famous Russian film Battleship Potemkin (1925), won several awards and was also shown at the Cannes Film Festival . In the course of his studies, however, Orian became more and more interested in being in front of the camera himself, and after finishing his studies he initially signed up with an acting agent who placed him for several commercials. However, since he wanted to take acting more seriously, he returned to the United States in 2000 to study at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute and later at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York. During his time at the Strasberg Institute he took on a job as the administrator of Lee Strasberg's extensive collection of materials, which he held for 9 years. This made him an expert in Lee Strasberg and the so-called Strasberg Method , from which Orian now benefits as an acting teacher.

After graduating from college, Orian made his television debut in the A&E mini-series Between the Lines , hosted by Robert Downey Jr. , where he read unknown letters from famous people alongside well-known celebrities such as Hillary Clinton , John Goodman and Priscilla Presley . His part was a love letter from young Adolf Hitler . Other appearances, including on the Fox show America's Most Wanted and the NBC comedy show 30 Rock, followed before Orian moved to Los Angeles in 2012. There he took on various supporting and guest roles in series such as Code Black , Navy CIS: LA and Shooter and is active as a voice actor. In 2017 he was awarded the role of Dr. Wilhelm Brücke was cast in Stargate Origins , the latest offshoot of the Stargate franchise, where he plays a Nazi officer and occultist alongside Connor Trinneer and numerous young actors. He will be seen alongside Rosamund Pike in the 2019 tragic comedy The Informer (2019) . In the James Mangold film Ford v. Ferrari , which is slated to hit cinemas in summer or autumn 2019, will play a German commentator on the 1966 Le Mans 24-hour race .

Private

Orian lives in Los Angeles. He is vegan and is committed to animal rights through his own non-profit organization " Our Planet. Theirs Too " (OPTT) . He initiated the Declaration of Animal Rights (Declaration of Animal Rights) and organized with OPTT annually on the first Sunday in June the National Day of Animal Rights (National Animal Rights Day) in several countries of the world. The main event of the National Animal Rights Day 2019 in Germany will take place on June 2nd in Frankfurt am Main .
