BoB Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray is the debut album by the American rapper BoB . It was released on April 27, 2010 via the labels Grand Hustle Records, Rebel Rock Entertainment and Atlantic Records.

In November 2009, BoB stated during an interview that his debut album would be released in May 2010. In February 2010, he released a mixtape called May 25 , the title of which should indicate the release date of The Adventures of Bobby Ray . However, when the album's first pre-release single, Nothin 'On You , was a bigger success than expected worldwide, the release date was moved forward to April 27th.

Reviews

After the album was released, it received a 67% rating from Metacritic . Allmusic writer David Jeffries rated the album and praised Bobby Ray's musical vision. Todd Martens, author of the Los Angeles Times , gave the album a rating and said that BoB was a young Kanye West . The Guardian's Paul MacInnes gave the album a star rating and criticized the album for lacking passion.

At the 2011 Grammy Awards , BoB Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray was nominated for Best Rap Album , but lost to recovery from Eminem .
