Strange Clouds ( Strange clouds ) is the second studio album of American rapper B.oB . It was released on May 1, 2012 via the labels Grand Hustle Records, Rebel Rock Entertainment and Atlantic Records. Guest musicians on the album include Taylor Swift , Lil Wayne , Chris Brown , TI , Nicki Minaj , Ryan Tedder , Lauriana Mae, Playboy Tre, Trey Songz , Nelly and Roscoe Dash .

On September 27, 2011, an online streaming video from BoB appeared on the Atlanta radio station V-103 WVEE , in which he promoted his lead single Strange Clouds . In this video, he also announced the title of the album, Strange Clouds, which would be released in spring 2012. On November 15, 2011, BoB announced that he wanted to release a mixtape called EPIC (Every Play Is Crucial) before the album was released. The mixtape was released on November 28, 2011. Guest musicians on the mixtape include Eminem , Mos Def , Roscoe Dash, Meek Mill and Bun B , among others . The two tracks What Are We Doing and Guest List from the mixtape are included on the Deluxe Edition of the album.

The album should be released on March 13, 2012, but BoB announced on February 9, 2012 via a tweet that the release was postponed to May 1. BoB worked as usual with producers Jim Jonsin and Dr. Luke , who already produced the hit singles Magic and Strange Clouds , among others . In an interview with Rap-Up Jim Jonsin spoke about the upcoming album: “We recorded five songs, two of which I really like. One of the recordings has a reggae atmosphere, hip-hop with reggae. I think it's a possible single. "

Single releases

The first single Strange Clouds with Lil Wayne was released on September 27, 2011. The title was produced by Dr. Luke and Cirkut. In its first week, the title sold over 197,000 copies in the United States and debuted at number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 . In the United States, the single went platinum. The second single So Good was released on February 21, 2012, the piece was written by BoB and Ryan Tedder . In the United States, the title reached number 11 in the singles charts. In Great Britain the title debuted at position 7. The third single Both of Us with Taylor Swift was released in May 2012.
