The steam locomotive series kkStB 54 was a freight train - Tender Lokomotiv series of kkStB whose locomotives originally from the Galicia Transversal , from the Prince Rudolf-web (KRB) from the kk state railway Tarvis-Pontafel ( Pontebba train ) and the Silesian Moravian-Central web ( MSCB).

The locomotives differed in their dimensions depending on their origin and renovation measures (see table).

kkStB 54.01-40 ( Galician Transversal Railway )

For the Galician Transversal Railway, the state acquired 40 locomotives 1884 / 85 at the locomotive factory Floridsdorf , in Wiener Neustadt locomotive factory and at Borsig in Berlin .

The machines were classified by the kkStB as 54.01–40.

After the First World War they came to the PKP as the Th17 series  , to the FS as  217 and to the CFR , which did not assign them a series number of their own.

kkStB 54.41–49 ( Kronprinz Rudolf-Bahn , kk Staatsbahn Tarvis – Pontafel )

The locomotives were delivered by the Floridsdorf locomotive factory from 1873 to 1879 to the KRB (later 54.41–47) and to the Imperial and Royal State Railroad Tarvis – Pontafel ( Pontebba Railway ) (later 54.48–49).

The kkStB initially referred to them as series  51 , from 1892 as series  54 .

After the First World War, the remaining machines came to the PKP as the Th17 series  and the ČSD as the 313.1 series  , which were retired in the 1930s .

kkStB 54.50–63 ( Moravian-Silesian Central Railway )

The 14 locomotives of the MSCB received from the lokomotivfabrik floridsdorf 1872 / 73 supplied.

After the First World War, the remaining machines came to the PKP as the Th17 series  and the ČSD as the 313.1 series  , which were retired in the 1930s . The 54.51 came to the BBÖ and was eliminated in 1925 .
