The BKK Landesverband Mitte is the umbrella organization of the company health insurance funds that are based in Berlin , Brandenburg , Bremen , Lower Saxony , Rhineland-Palatinate , Saarland , Saxony , Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia . Other health insurance companies can join the regional association. It has its seat in Hanover , is a corporation under public law and is subject to the legal supervision of the Lower Saxony Ministry for Social Affairs, Health and Equality .
