history

Baldenofen originally only consisted of a few small farmsteads. As a rural community , the small village was then incorporated into the newly established district of Balden ( Bałdy in Polish ) in the East Prussian district of Neidenburg in 1874. In 1910 the village had 57 inhabitants.

On November 1, 1928, the rural community Baldenofen merged with the manor Balden (Polish Bałdy ) to form the new rural community Balden.

Baldenofen was transferred to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war with all of southern East Prussia . The village was given the Polish form of the name "Bałdzki Piec" and is today - as the seat of a Schulzenamt (Polish Sołectwo ) a place in the community of Purda (Groß Purden) in the Olsztyński powiat ( Olsztyn district until 1998, the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmia Voivodeship -Masures ).
