Bałdzki Piec ( German Baldenofen ) is a small village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . It belongs to the Gmina Purda (rural community Groß Purden ) in the powiat Olsztyński ( Allenstein district ).
Geographical location
Bałdzki Piec is located on the northwest bank of the Great Hunting Lake ( Jezioro Łowne Duże in Polish ) in the southwestern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 30 kilometers northeast of the former district town of Neidenburg ( Nidzica in Polish ) and 22 kilometers southeast of the current district metropolis of Olsztyn ( Allenstein in German ).
history
Baldenofen originally only consisted of a few small farmsteads. As a rural community , the small village was then incorporated into the newly established district of Balden ( Bałdy in Polish ) in the East Prussian district of Neidenburg in 1874. In 1910 the village had 57 inhabitants.
On November 1, 1928, the rural community Baldenofen merged with the manor Balden (Polish Bałdy ) to form the new rural community Balden.
Baldenofen was transferred to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war with all of southern East Prussia . The village was given the Polish form of the name "Bałdzki Piec" and is today - as the seat of a Schulzenamt (Polish Sołectwo ) a place in the community of Purda (Groß Purden) in the Olsztyński powiat ( Olsztyn district until 1998, the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmia Voivodeship -Masures ).

Until 1945 Baldenofen was parish in the Protestant church Neu Bartelsdorf in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union , and also in the Roman Catholic Church Wuttrienen in the Diocese of Warmia .
Today Bałdzki Piec belongs to the evangelical part of the parish Pasym (Passenheim) with the branch community Jedwabno (1938 to 1945 Gedwangen ) in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland , on the catholic side to the parish Butryny in the Archdiocese of Warmia .
