Baazigar ( Hindi : बाज़ीगर , bāzīgar ; German: juggler, player; alternative title: Baazigar: Deceived Love ) is a Hindi film by Abbas Burmawalla and Mustan Burmawalla , better known as Abbas-Mustan , from 1993.

Vishwanath Sharma owns a company called Sharma Industries. When he is on a business trip, he relies on his friend Madan Chopra, who is supposed to run the company for so long. But Madan Chopra has other plans and is rewriting the company in his name. When Vishwanath Sharma returned from his business trip, he lost the whole company and now his family is on the street. He dies of a heart attack while trying to get medicine for his daughter. But when she also dies, that is too much for the mother, who has been severely traumatized since that day. Now his son Ajay Sharma swears that he will later repay Madan Chopra for this suffering.

Ajay begins his calculated revenge by first seducing Madan's older daughter, Seema Chopra, who tells her family nothing about Ajay. In one stroke, he gets Seema to write a suicide note. Afraid of her father's anger, Seema decides to secretly marry Ajay, but when they reach the registry office, Ajay cold-bloodedly lures her onto the roof of the building and pushes her down. He escapes unrecognized. The suicide note with her handwriting proves her suicide, but her sister Priya doesn't believe it.

At the same time, Ajay begins to sneak into Priya's life as Vicky Malhotra. He falls in love with her unintentionally, but he continues his plan of revenge anyway. He gets a job in Madan Chopra's company because he is now Priya's fiancé. When some witnesses show up, Ajay kills her, with Priya becoming more and more suspicious and not believing in her sister's suicide.

She researches without his knowledge and learns that her fiancé is not called Vicky, but Ajay, Seema's friend. At the same time, Madan is on a business trip and leaves the company to Vicky. When he returns, the same thing happened to him that he did to Vishwanath Sharma: Vicky took over the company.

Priya confronts Ajay. Ajay tells her the whole truth about the past from her fathers. He apologizes to Priya and tells her that he loves her in spite of everything. While Ajay finishes telling her the story, Madan Chopra appears.

Evaluation for the German-speaking area

In the 1990s, German audiences were not interested in Indian films. It was only after the Bollywood boom in the mid-2000s that German film distributors began to market Shahrukh Khan's films in German in particular . In 2006, Rapid Eye Movies decided to release this film from Shahrukh's early career as a dubbed version after more than twenty of his films in German were already on the market, two of them ( And all of a sudden it's love and in good and bad days ) with Kajol by his side. For the dubbing , the voices of the leading actors were engaged, for example Pascal Breuer Ajay Sharma and Natascha Geisler Priya spoke .
