1972 European Badminton Championships
The 3rd European Badminton Championship took place in Karlskrona ( Sweden ) from April 12th to April 16th 1972 and was organized by the European Badminton Union and the Svenska Badmintonförbundet . The team competition was held on the first two days. Until 1990 it was the only participation of GDR badminton players in a European Championship. Monika Thiere was fifth in singles and ninth in doubles with Annemarie Richter . Annemarie Richter was also ninth in the individual.
