List of train stations in Switzerland |
The Bülach station is located in the eponymous town of Bulach in the north of the Canton of Zurich , Switzerland . In Keilbahnhof the routes come Zurich - Schaffhausen (sections Zurich-Oerlikon-Oberglatt-Bulach and Eglisau-Neuhausen ) and Winterthur-Koblenz together. The train station is also the terminus of various regional bus routes.
The station is managed and run by apprentices from Login Berufsbildung AG . In addition to the apprentices, there are also professional trainers who support them in their work.
history
Like all Zurich municipalities, Bülach is integrated into the Zurich Transport Association (ZVV). The community was connected to the railway network on May 1, 1865 as the end point of the Bülach-Regensberg-Bahn (BR) to Oerlikon . The railway company was a subsidiary of the Swiss Northeast Railway (NOB) and was integrated into the NOB in 1877. Together with the NOB, the station was nationalized in 1902 to the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB).
The station was originally located elsewhere (west of the Lindenhof) and was relocated to the NOB on August 1, 1876 with the opening of the Hochrheinbahn ( Winterthur - Koblenz ) and became a railway junction in the form of a wedge station. The station location was moved. With the opening of the NOB route (Bülach–) Eglisau – Neuhausen am Rheinfall through the Rafzerfeld and the Jestetter Zipfel with a connection to the NOB Rheinfallbahn (Winterthur– Andelfingen - Schaffhausen ) in Neuhausen, the BR route was replaced on June 1, 1897 Bülach is gradually phasing out the Rhine Falls Railway as the main route between Zurich and Schaffhausen. In this context, the line between Bülach and Eglisau was expanded to double track, the second track was put into operation on June 1, 1897. The railway lines have been owned by SBB since the nationalization of the private railways in 1902 .
With the opening of the double-lane expansion of the Niederglatt – Bülach line on June 1, 1980, an improvement in timetable stability was achieved. The trains have been running on a regular schedule since 1982. The Zurich S-Bahn has been operating on behalf of the ZVV since May 1990 .
Station building
When the line was opened in 1865, only a temporary station building was built. This station had the shape of a sack station (head station) and was created west of the "Volleeberen". In view of the opening of the Winterthur – Koblenz route, it was replaced by a provisional arrangement. The station was relocated to the "Fangleten"; the new building was opened on August 1, 1876.
The current station building was built in 1900. This new building was preceded by two interventions by the Bülach community at the railway department. After several drafts had been rejected by the NOB management, the management decided on March 24, 1899 to carry out the design by Th. Weiss, whose design in turn was based on one by J. Gros. The building was ready to move into in 1900.
