Balatonvilágos is a Hungarian community in the district of Siofok in Somogy county . It is located on the eastern bank of Lake Balaton between Siófok and Balatonkenese .
history
In 1961 Balatonvilágos was spun off from Balatonfőkajár as an independent municipality. On January 1, 2013, the municipality moved from Veszprém County to Somogy County.

The community is connected to the railway line from Siófok to Székesfehérvár . The road no. 7118 runs through the village, the M7 motorway runs east of the municipality. There is also a boat connection on Lake Balaton to Balatonkenese.
