Felsőörs is a Hungarian municipality in the Balatonalmádi district in Veszprém county .

Location and traffic

Felsőörs is located nine kilometers southeast of the city of Veszprém and four kilometers from the northern bank of Lake Balaton . Neighboring communities are Lovas , Alsóörs and Káptalanfüred, a district of the city of Balatonalmádi .

Roads No. 7218 and No. 7219 meet in Felsőörs. The nearest train stations are in Alsóörs and Káptalanfüred.

Infrastructure

In Felsőörs there is a kindergarten, secondary school, library, general practitioner and pediatrician, pharmacy, post office, mayor's office as well as a Reformed and a Roman Catholic church. There is also the local sports club FISK ( Felsőörsi Ifjúsági Közhasznú Sportegyesület ) and the Snétberger Zenei Tehetség Központ music school founded by Ferenc Snétberger , which is specifically dedicated to the musical education of young Roma . Viticulture plays an important role in the municipality .
