Balto - His Greatest Adventure is an American cartoon from Universal Pictures from 2004. Like its predecessor Balto - On the Trail of Wolves (2000), this film is not based on a real original. It is the second sequel to Balto - A dog with a hero's heart (1995).

action

In this film there is a dispute between the father Balto and his son Kodi over the future of mail distribution between Nome and White Mountain . While Kodi thinks he and his sled team are essential to the city, Balto sees things differently. So there is a race between an airplane and the city's sled dog team. Although the plane is the first to take over the post in the town of White Mountain, the dogs can win the race as the pilot loses his bearings due to the deteriorating weather conditions and crashes in the wilderness on the return flight. So, contrary to all expectations, the sled dogs win the race. So Balto set off with the goose Stella, the polar bears Heg and Mag and then his son Kodi in search of the plane. When they find the wreck in the wild, they can save the missing ganter Boris. While the two geese and the two polar bears make their way back, Balto is looking for the pilot alone. With the help of his son looking for him and the other sled dogs, the pilot can only be rescued slightly injured. In the end, all residents of Nome know that they can rely on their sled dogs in an emergency.
