The Barbanne is a river in France that runs in the Gironde department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises in the municipal area of Puisseguin , generally drains in a westerly direction through some of the most famous wine-growing areas in the Libournais landscape , turns abruptly to the south at Les Billaux and flows around 23 kilometers in the western municipal area of Libourne as a left tributary into the Isle , which in turn is around two kilometers further into the Dordogne .
