Team Barloworld
The Barloworld team was a British cycling team .
The sponsor Barloworld specializes in management and the second sponsor Valsir is a waste disposal company. The team was founded in 2003 by John Robertson as a South African team, drove under an Italian license in 2004 and was British from 2005. The leaders of the team were the two former Italian racing cyclists Alberto Elli and Valerio Tebaldi . Probably the best-known driver in the Professional Continental Team was the 2003 world champion Igor Astarloa , who drove for the team for two years from 2005 to 2006. With the Konica Minolta team , the same operator also had a farm team .
After Moisés Dueñas' positive doping result became known at the 2008 Tour de France , sponsor Barloworld announced its withdrawal at the end of the tour. In October, however, he decided to continue the sponsorship for another year. After the 2009 season, the team was dissolved, the British riders mostly switched to the Sky Professional Cycling Team .
