history

The place was mentioned for the first time in 1337. In 1437 the village became a desert . Bauhaus was not settled again until 1929, making it the youngest part of the community. The reason for the resettlement was that it was legally stipulated that the so-called manor districts were dissolved. Bauhaus was formed by the estate districts of Bellers, Gunkelrode and Trottenwald as well as parts of the community of Solz and Nentershausen. Miners nevertheless settled in the former local area and mined copper slate from 1460 to 1708 , then cobalt until 1867 and barite until 1955 .

On December 31, 1971, the previously independent town of Bauhaus was incorporated into the Nentershausen community.

Others

There is a former school , a church , a village community center , a football field and a gym in the village .
