Ben Sahar ( Hebrew בן שׂהר; * August 10, 1989 in Cholon asבן סהר) is an Israeli soccer player who has been under contract with Hapoel Beer Sheva since 2015 . Due to his mother's origin, he also has Polish citizenship .

Club career

The striker , who was considered one of the greatest talents in Israel at the beginning of his professional career, comes from the youth of Hapoel Tel Aviv . In 2006, Chelsea FC brought Sahar into their youth department after a two-month trial training session. He quickly rose to the London reserve team and was an integral part of it. His achievements were also José Mourinho , the former head coach of the first team, not hidden. He often ordered Sahar to train the professionals. On January 13, 2007, Ben Sahar made his Premier League debut . Against Wigan Athletic , he came on in the 82nd minute for Arjen Robben . However, he could not assert himself in the professional team.

National team career

On October 7, 2006, Sahar made his debut for the U-21 national team of Israel against France . On February 7, 2007, he was used in a friendly match between Israel's senior team and Ukraine . At 17, he was the youngest Israeli national player of all time before he was replaced by Gai Assulin . On March 28, 2007, he came on late in the qualifying game against Estonia and shortly afterwards scored Israel with two goals to a 4-0 victory.
