Berg und Geist is a Swiss portrait film series. It has been produced for the community broadcaster 3sat since 2004 and is broadcast monthly by 3sat .
Shipment concept
At Berg und Geist , celebrities from all areas of creativity are invited to a Swiss mountain of their choice and interviewed there predominantly on two days of shooting at different locations. In post-processing, a thirty-minute film portrait with statements, archive recordings and landscape impressions is created from the image material, in which the celebrities express their associations with this mountain and provide information about their lifestyle in their careers and work. These conversations often lead to unexpected, intimate insights into the private and personal everyday life of the guests. The broadcast concept was conceived by Michael Lang , who, as co-realizer, also stimulated and coordinated the discussions with the guests, but himself remained in the off-area visually and acoustically. Lang was also the editor in charge of the series. In 2012 he retired at his own request. The production team included Frank Hubrath as producer until 2010 . The Zurich filmmaker, photo and video artist Beat Kuert , who lives in Ticino and is responsible for camera work, editing and editing, has been there from the start.
Awards
On April 10, 2005, Berg und Geist was voted Best Show of 2004 at a gala event in Zurich and was awarded the Prix Walo .
