Bergen Air Transport AS is a Norwegian regional airline based in Bergen and based at Bergen Airport . It is not to be confused with Bergen Air Transport (1967) , which carried out flight operations with Douglas DC-3 , Douglas DC-4 and de Havilland Canada DHC-2 from around 1967 to 1981 .
history
Bergen Air was founded in 1998 and launched its flights in spring 1999 with a Cessna 206 - Seaplane on the Hardanger fjord , mainly as a transfer in the charter for hotel guests. In August of the same year, they bought a Cessna 421 B, the first agricultural machine to be used on charter flights from their new base in Bergen. In June 2000, the company took the route Bergen - Notodden , which it took over from Air Team . In July 2004 a Cessna 441 was bought for this line , and in 2003 a separate hangar was opened. In 2006 the Cessna 421B was sold to a private person.
