Air Transport is a Norwegian airline based in Tromsø and based at Tromsø Airport .
history
Air transport was established in 1955. In 1995 it merged with Mørefly, which was also founded in 1955, while retaining its name . After several changes of ownership, Lufttransport has been 100% owned by Knut Axel Ugland Holding since October 2008 .
Since 2002, the Agusta A109E has been used to transport pilots to ships from Bergen on behalf of the Coastal Administration .
Of the approximately 220 employees, 150 are permanent pilots. The maintenance of all aircraft and helicopters is carried out in-house.
Services
Lufttransport carries out air rescue , charter and scheduled flights , coastal surveillance and search and rescue flights from Spitsbergen .
