The wasteland is at the foot of the Hesselberg on the district road AN 48 , which leads to Hesselberghaus near Wassertrüdingen (0.8 km northeast) or to Gerolfingen on state road 2218 (1.1 km south).

As a result of the municipal edict, Berghaus was assigned to the Röckingen tax district, formed in 1809, and the Gerolfingen rural community .
