Bernhard Brockmann

Bernhard Brockmann (spoken: Brookmann) (born August 19, 1931 in Visbek ; † August 15, 2018 in Goldenstedt ) was a German lawyer and notary as well as regional historian .

Life

Bernhard Brockmann studied law and was in 1961 at the University of Hamburg with the work , the application of § 20 and § 27 JGG in Oberlandesgerichtsbezirk Oldenburg in the years 1954 to 1958 to the Dr. iur. utr. PhD. He worked as a lawyer and notary from 1961 to 1992.

Brockmann became known as a regional historian. He published some standard works on the regional history of the Oldenburger Münsterland . In 1996 he was awarded the " Abt-Gerbert-Castus Medal" for his work . In 2010 the court's plate of honor followed, an honorary award from the “Supreme Court of the Oldenburger Münsterland”.

Bernhard Brockmann was involved in numerous social projects and the Christians in the Holy Land . He was a member of the German Association of the Holy Land . In 1994 Brockmann was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Giuseppe Cardinal Caprio and invested in Ulm on May 28, 1994 by Anton Schlembach , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . Most recently he was an officer in the Papal Lay Order.

Since 1952 he was a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Wiking zu Hamburg in the Cartell Association of Catholic German Student Associations .
