Bernhard Hammer (set designer)

Bernhard Hammer (* 1961 in Stainz in Styria ) is an Austrian set designer .

Life

Bernhard Hammer initially trained as a locksmith and carpenter, then studied interior design and stage design at the Graz School of Applied Arts and the Graz University of Music and Performing Arts . He participated in various architectural projects. His work for the theater is often characterized by statically complex constructions. He works closely with the Dutch director Theu Boermans and the choreographer Johann Kresnik . Various works also with the directors Marc Günther , Peter Pawlik , Tina Lanik , Sebastian Hirn and Stephan Müller .
