Bernhard Hendl (born August 9, 1992 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football goalkeeper .
Career
society
Hendl played in his youth at two Viennese clubs ( First Vienna FC and SK Rapid ) and in Mödling , where he made his first appearances in the U-19 youth league. In 2010 he moved to the A-Jugend-Bundesliga in Germany , where he guarded the goal 17 times for SV Wehen Wiesbaden , but ended up being relegated to bottom of the table.
Hendl then moved to the second team of VfB Stuttgart , which played in the third division . There he was not used in a league game in a year and a half, so that he moved to second division SSV Jahn Regensburg as the third goalkeeper behind Timo Ochs and Patrick Wiegers during the winter break of 2012/13 . There he was only used in the U-23, which played in the fifth-class Bayernliga . Hendl was relegated to the 3rd division with Regensburg.
In the 2013/14 season , the Austrian was regular number two in the Upper Palatinate team behind Wiegers, but was preferred in cup games. He played his first professional game against 1. FC Union Berlin in the first main round of the DFB Cup . For reasons of performance, Jahntrainer Thomas Stratos Wiegers sat on the bench after the 13th matchday, so Hendl made his league debut on October 26, 2013 at the home game against Rot-Weiß Erfurt . After the season, Hendl was unable to agree on a contract extension with Jahn.
For the 2014/15 season , Hendl moved to the second team of 1. FSV Mainz 05 . In the summer of 2015 he went to the regional league team BFC Dynamo in Berlin .
After four seasons at Dynamo, he returned to Austria for the 2019/20 season for fourth-class First Vienna FC, where he once started his career.
National team
In 2011, the goalkeeper belonged to the extended circle of the Austrian U-21 national team .
