Englebelmer ( Picard : Ingbèlmèr) is a northern French municipality with 299 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality belongs to the canton of Albert and is part of the Communauté de communes du Pays du Coquelicot .

geography

The community is located around seven kilometers northwest of Albert on the D129 departmental road. Englebelmer has merged with the northwestern district of Vitermont.

history

A Carolingian settlement is suspected in the Les Champs Brûlés parcel. The parishes of Englebelmer and Vitermont were merged in 1801. In World War I near fights took place.
