Bouchoir ( Picard : Bouchoèr) is a northern French municipality with 293 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Péronne , belongs to the canton of Moreuil and is part of the Communauté de communes Terre de Picardie .

The municipality in the Santerre countryside with the districts Parvillers and Le Quesnoy is located at the intersection of the D329 departmental road with the generously developed D934 departmental road (formerly Route nationale 334 ) from Amiens to Noyon . It is around 9 km from Roye .

history

Bouchoir was given to Saint-Corneille Abbey in Compiègne in 1121 . The rule of Bouchoir finally came to the Marquisate of Nesle . In 1814 the place was set on fire by Russian troops. It was almost completely destroyed in the First World War . The community received the Croix de guerre 1914-1918 as an award .
