Curchy is a northern French municipality with 298 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Péronne , belongs to the canton of Ham and is part of the Est de la Somme municipality .
geography
The community is located about seven kilometers southeast of Chaulnes on the D337 département road. Dreslincourt is about two and a half kilometers northeast of Curchy across the Amiens-Laon railway line, Manicourt about one kilometer southeast of Curchy. The small river Ingon runs through the municipality and flows into the Canal du Nord at Rouy-le-Petit .
history
In 1966 the parishes of Curchy and Dreslincourt merged to form the new parish of Curchy-Dreslincourt. Another merger took place in 1973 with the municipality of Manicourt, since then the municipality is called Curchy.
Curchy received the Croix de guerre 1914-1918 as an award .
