Maucourt ( Picard : Moucourt) is a northern French municipality with 180 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Péronne , belongs to the canton of Moreuil and is part of the Communauté de communes Terre de Picardie .

geography

The municipality in the Santerre countryside is located around 5 km east-southeast of Rosières-en-Santerre on the D39 departmental road and south of the Amiens-Laon railway. In the northern part of the municipality there is a large French military cemetery. The former airfield Rosières-en-Santerre was also a little north of the village.
