Coigneux ( Picard : Cognu) is a northern French municipality with 49 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality belongs to the canton of Albert and is part of the Communauté de communes du Pays du Coquelicot .

geography

The municipality on the northern edge of Picardy is on the D175E département road between Sailly-au-Bois in the east and Couin in the west (both already in the Pas-de-Calais department ). In Coigneux, the Authie has its source at the Fontaine du Rossignol .

history

The community received the Croix de guerre 1914-1918 as an award .
