The municipality, which has grown together with Ham , forms the southwestern part of the agglomeration of the canton capital Ham (Somme) in the south of the Somme, which is canalized here . It extends in the west to the Allemagne brook . The railway line from Amiens to Laon runs through it, and Ham's train station is in the neighboring municipality of Muille-Villette . The Verlaines district belongs to Eppeville.
