Mesnil-Saint-Nicaise is a French municipality with 561 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France in northern France. It belongs to the canton of Ham and is part of the Est de la Somme municipal association . The inhabitants are known as les Mesnilois .

geography

The municipality is located on the departmental roads D35 (district Mesnil-Saint-Nicaise-le-Petit) and D15 (district Mesnil-Saint-Nicaise-le-Grand), each around 2.5 km north of Nesle .

history

In 2009 a Gallo-Roman temple (Fanum) was discovered in Mesnil-Saint-Nicaise .

The community received the Croix de guerre 1914-1918 as an award .
