Pys (Picard: Py) is a northern French municipality with 120 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality belongs to the canton of Albert and is part of the Communauté de communes du Pays du Coquelicot .

geography

The municipality on the D71 departmental road between Miraumont and Le Sars ( Canton Bapaume , Department Pas-de-Calais ) around 14 km northeast of Albert .

history

The community, which was completely destroyed in the First World War , was awarded the Croix de guerre 1914–1918.
