Assevillers (Picard: Asvilé) is a northern French municipality with 296 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality belongs to the canton of Ham and is part of the Communauté de communes Terre de Picardie .

geography

The municipality is located around eight kilometers southwest of Péronne and is cut in its eastern part by the A1 autoroute with two large rest areas (Aires d'Assevillers) and the parallel high-speed rail line of the LGV Nord .

The community received the Croix de guerre 1914-1918 as an award .
