Gueudecourt (Picard: Gudecourt) is a French municipality with 94 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France in northern France. The municipality belongs to the canton of Péronne .

geography

The municipality is located around seven kilometers south of Bapaume on the D74 and D574 département roads and to the west of the A1 autoroute and the parallel TGV route in a lead from the Somme département to the Pas-de-Calais département .

history

During the First World War , the municipality was the scene of heavy fighting in the course of the Battle of the Somme in September 1916. She received the Croix de guerre 1914–1918 as an award .
