Hem-Monacu (Picard: L'Hem-Monacu) is a French municipality with 128 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France in northern France. The municipality belongs to the canton of Péronne .

geography

The municipality is located around 10 km northwest of Péronne on the D938 departmental road from Péronne via Albert to Doullens . The A1 autoroute with a junction outside of the municipality and the high-speed railway line of the LGV Nord run on the eastern edge of the municipality . The municipality is bounded to the south by the Somme river , which forms a wide flood plain with the Marais de Hem . The districts of La Ferme and Monacu belong to the municipality. The populated part of the municipality extends along the floodplain.
