Authie ( Picard : Eutie, Flemish : Othie ) is a northern French municipality with 286 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality belongs to the canton of Albert and is part of the Communauté de communes du Pays du Coquelicot .

geography

The municipality on the border with historic Artois is located in the Authie valley on the D176 from Thièvres (Somme) to Mailly-Maillet , D152 from Marieux in the west and Couin in the Pas-de-Calais department in the east, around 7 km northwest of Acheux- en-Amiénois . The residents are called Alteens or Alteins.
