Moislains Church

Moislains ( Picard : Molin) is a French municipality with 1201 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France in northern France. The municipality belongs to the canton of Péronne and is part of the Communauté de communes de la Haute Somme .

geography

The municipality is located on the Canal du Nord and the Tortille stream and is touched by the D43, D184 and D149 département roads.

Monuments and landmarks

  • The church of St-Pierre was rebuilt from 1928 to 1932 by the architect Louis Faille . It has art glazing by Gérard Ansart .
  • Military cemetery (Nécropole nationale) for the fallen of the 123rd and 124th Infantry Brigades. The memorial bears the inscription: "La Charente à ses enfants morts pour la France le 28 août 1914."
